CRAFTSMEN TRAINING SCHEME (CTS)
(commonly known as MTI courses)
Objective:-To impart training for becoming skilled craftsmen.
A model training institute (MTI) has been set up under this scheme and the following courses are being offered.
How to Apply:
Applications for admission into above trades are invited through the advertisement in Employment News/regional newspapers during the month of May / June every year and the session starts in 1st AUGUST every year.
Trades of 2 years duration :
i) Electrician ii) Electronic Mechanic
iii) Fitter iv) Mechanic Motor Vehicle
v) Information Technology & Electronic System Maintenance
Trades of 1 year duration :
vi) Welder vii) Computer Operator & Programming Assistant
Eligibility for Admission
a) For trades from Sl.No. i) to v) is SSC pass
b) For trade at Sl. No. (vi) is Non-matric (8th pass)
c)For trade at Sl.No. (vii) is intermediate /12th pass.

Admission & Award of Certificate
On completion of training program candidates are required to appear in the All India Trade Tests for Craftsmen held under the aegis of NCVT in July every year and on successful, trainees will be awarded with National Trade Certificate.
Tuition fee is only Rs. 1200/- per year.
